When is the event?
Our event is Friday, September 30, 2022.
How do I participate in the event?
The in-person event at The Nines Hotel in downtown Portland at 525 SW Morrison St, Portland, OR 97204. We will welcome guests starting at 5:30 pm, with the dinner and program beginning at 7:00 pm.
The virtual event will have a pre-show starting at 6:00 pm, with the program beginning at 6:30 pm.
Do I need a ticket to attend this event?
If you plan to attend in person you will need to purchase a ticket online here. You can choose individual ticket or table host.
If you plan to attend virtually we recommend you select Virtual RSVP for your ticket. This will ensure you receive all the information on the event, including the auction and program information.
In-Person Event Questions
Is there a health check and COVID guidelines for this event?
We support safe event planning. To attend, we require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test result to attend our event. We accept either a rapid home test result (within 24 hours) or PCR test result (within 72 hours).
Masks will be encouraged outside of active dining. As the event draws near, we will communicate other relevant COVID-19 procedures related to safe public health policies.
What will the in-person program be like?
The evening will begin with appetizers, complimentary wine and beer, and a super-cool photo opportunity, followed by a delicious plated meal. Our inspirational program will share stories of impact and information about our Newberg Wellness Center capital campaign, and of course there will be plenty of opportunities to support our work through the purchase of raffle tickets, auction items, or direct donations.
What should I wear? Festive attire encouraged!
Can I stay the night at The Nines?
Yes! We have a small room block, with superior guest rooms for $229 per night (+ taxes and fees), available for reservation. Reservations must be made by September 7th, 2022. Please call 888-627-7208 or click here to make a reservation under Virginia Garcia’s group name.
What are my options for parking?
Parking garages are located two blocks from The Nines. Alder Street Garage is at 615 SW Alder Street and 3rd & Alder Garage is at 620 SW 4th Avenue. Valet parking is available at The Nines for a fee. We recommend ride share with Uber, Lyft or taxi as well.
Virtual Event Questions
What will the virtual program be like?
The virtual program will be a celebration of our community and it will be an opportunity for you to support Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center and our Newberg Wellness Center capital campaign. We will celebrate our sponsors, hear from featured speakers, and share a powerful message of our impact.
How do I watch the virtual event?
When you RSVP you will receive a link to the viewing page. We recommend you use a computer to view the virtual event and a mobile device to bid and give during the event.
Auction Questions
How does the online auction work?
The online auction will open at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022 and will close on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 9:00 p.m. When the auction begins, you will be able to view each auction package and bid as often and as much as you would like.
If you do not want to bid on items but still want to support Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, you will also be able to make donations before and during the event through the online auction website.
How can I bid on an auction item or donate to Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center?
1. Register for online bidding. A link will be made available two weeks prior to the event that will be automatically sent to everyone that has RSVP’d (both in-person and virtual).
2. Participate in the online auction from 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022, until Friday, September 30, 2022, at 9:00 p.m.
3. Make an online donation.
If I win an online auction package, how do I pick up that package?
You will be notified by email if you win an auction package in the online auction. Packages can be arranged for pick up at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center. Shipment can be arranged for any winning bidders with exception of packages containing alcohol. The winning bidder is responsible for shipping costs of physical items.
